I started my career in the pit — photographing Van Halen live on tour. That set the standard early, and it's how I've approached the work ever since.
I'm also a musician, so I don't walk into a show guessing. I know how a set flows and I read the cues — when the lights hit, when the artist steps forward, when the moment is about to break. I'm not reacting to the show. I'm ready for it.
From arenas to small clubs, I move with the rhythm of the performance instead of chasing it. The goal is simple: images that feel right and are actually usable.
