PROJECT TITLE: Drive Safe!
PROJECT INFO: The Blue Wave was asked to produce a 15 minute driving safety video intended to remind drivers of pedestrian safety. The video was broken up into smaller sections for a more impactful distribution. We worked directly with the office of information of the county executive while having complete creative control of the project. It was important for us to strike a nerve with the specifically desensitized teenage viewer by interviewing real people that were involved in both sides of “the accident”. Featured in the compelling interviews were family members of slain pedestrians as well as the very drivers. We also achieved a realistic connection to the subject matter by mounting HD cameras on and in the vehicles to capture real life situations. The final project was so well received that it was used in every high school in Montgomery County, Maryland and won two international awards.
